Welcome to 2nd grade! I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I am originally from Carlyle, a small town about an hour east of St. Louis. I grew up there with my parents, playing school and pretending to be a teacher in my own classroom that I had set up in my basement. From then on, I knew my passion in life. I moved to southern Illinois after I graduated from high school and attended John A. Logan College and then SIU-Carbondale where I met my husband. We now have a 9 week old son and he is such a joy to have in my life! I spent my first two years at Unity Point as an instructional aide and last year I taught kindergarten. I am really enjoying 2nd grade so far and I am looking forward to a great school year !
