8th graders are asked to write an essay of opinion. Students need an approved topic, and will write a multi-parargraphed essay. The essay could explore both sides of the issue. Students may need to read about or perhaps discuss the issue. Class time will be devoted on Thursday and Friday to composing the rough draft of the essay.
