 | End of 1st Quarter
With each topic you will be expected to do two things to complete this assignment: (I will be taking a grade on your blogging so it is important to complete it each time we blog.)
1. First you will reflect on the topic I have given. After logging in, delete everything in the box and begin your blog by putting 10-16 (or what ever the date is), 7_ (teacher's inital), & your initals. It will look like this: "10-16 7FKF" Use complete sentences and you must write at least a paragraph. (No less than 5 sentence each topic.) We are not texting so spelling and punctuation counts!
2. You must read other student's reflections and make at least 1 comment to another students reflections. Start it the same way as above: "10-16 7FKF" A good sentence will do. This comment should be positive in nature or contain constructive suggestions. Any negative or rude comments will cost you the points for that blog assignment.
You may blog more than the minimum of 1. You are also welcome to return to the blog and add comments at other times during the week.
I am hoping that this blog will give you a voice in the classroom.
Topic:
Well we have reached the end of the 1st Quarter, how has 7th grade been for you. Reflect on the good as well as the not so good. Be constructive, if you have a negative comment you should give a suggestion about how it could be improved. Don't forget to comment on one students entry. |

7th grade has been great but time flies. We have a lot of homework which is a pain. I feel like I'm in college with all this homework. Most of the big projects are due on the same day. It is hard to keep track of what due on what day. But it is better when our teachers remind us like they always do. 7th grade not a pain after you get organized and used to the teachers. |

It was not bad. I had a big problem for school life, it was language. But every teachers and students helped me, I could do school life. This quarter gave me the information of how do i do the American school life. So I think I will be able to do the second quarter well. I don't have any bad things to write. This 1st quarter was so good and cool. If this school maintains to operate like this, I will not have something to complain.

The first quarter of seventh grade has been pretty good, in terms of lessons and homework. We have teachers who are fair, and usually give a moderate amount of homework. We don't just sit in class all day, we do active stuff sometimes too. I like when we are able to do something where we get up from our seats. I also like those things we have in social studies, that let you send in the answer from your seat. I don't like writing too much, though. |

| First quarter has been good and bad. I miss sixth grade a lot, because it was super fun. I like that we get to have P.E. every day. I feel so much older because we have six teachers! I wish I had some friends in my class though, my best friend is in a different class. We get so much homework this year though, but most of it isn't that bad. So far this quarter has been okay, I'm just getting into the swing of things. I think the second quarter will be easier because now I'm used to everything. I hope the rest of the year turns out great!- SK |

1st quarter has been a good. I didn't make as good grades as i would like but i hope to do better next quarter. I hope make more friends this coming quarter. All the teachers are very nice. I hope the second quarter is as good as the first. |

7th grade has been a big step up from 6th grade. The home work is not very hard there just more of it. The teachers are a lot more strict. I like having P.E. every day and also switching to all of the teachers instead of just three. The Math is a lot harder in course 3 than regular math last year. |

10.16 7fMEThe first quater has been fun. it is a new year and there is going to be new stuff. this year all of my teachers are awesome. with p.e. every day i is cool. i think this year will be good. |

It is finally the end of the quarter. It has not been the easiest thing ever. We have had to do Science fair and book reports. I had homework almost everyday. I do not have as much time in study hall because i am in band and choir. Rewarding but more work at home. I do not define any of the teachers being mean, actually most of them are nice. P.E. is a wonderful catch of good air. That gets me through most of my day. |

So far I have had a great time at Unity Point. I feel like I fit in and I also have had fun in all my classes. I find all the classes very interesting and I have also learned a lot. I also enjoy having exploratory classes so we get to learn about other topics we normally wouldn't. I feel that I am doing well in all my classes. I don't really have any negative comments for this quarter. I think this quarter has gone very well, and I hope the next one is just as great. |

All of this quarter has been amazing! We are learning so much that it is like an over load. Everything we have learned is very interesting like in social studies we learned about the lost colony and how they just disappeared when they came to settle in the Americas. Also I'm seeing how in 7th grade you really have to buckle down and get your homework done on time. Overall I think this 1st quarter has been a great experience. I love 7th grade! |

I have liked seventh grade so far, but there are some things that I don't like. We get homework in math every single day, no matter what, even if we have a test. I also do not like getting to the class after lunch, Mr. Wrights class, because I am always late because by the time I get to my locker, the bell has already rung. I do like this year though. I like how we get to listen to music in study hall, that is awesome, because if someone is talking to me I can just pretend I don't hear them and keep working. |

I've had fun this year so far. I know my grades are good.We are doing a lot of fun projects. I like having the change of PE being every day. The best part is, we only have three quarters of the year left. We've used a good chunk. |

I think seventh grade so far is pretty good. I've been getting my homework done, I am participating in different activities like student council and I am trying out for Scholar Bowl. The teachers are great, they teach me exactly what I need to know. But twice this quarter I was close to the end of the lunch line and by the time I get to start eating, they start dismissing everyone and the aides say I could stay and eat. So I did but then I got in trouble for being late to class twice and my teacher said I would get a detention if I am late again. So I decided to get to class early rather than late. I am also going to try to be close to the beginning of the lunch line. I also enjoy study hall because we get to use our Ipods which is great because it helps me concentrate and it lets me leave the tumultuous crowd of the classroom. |

The first quarter of school this year wasn't so bad. the letters we got last year made it sound like prison instead of a school, but i knew it wasn't going to be that bad.The only bad hard thing about 7th grade so far is the keeping up in yo studies. everything else is pretty much easy. nothing like what was in the letters. |

I have liked the first because wasn't hard but there was so many things going on. Like basketball tryouts and science fair. There wasn't that much homework either. But I think we should play dodge ball more in P.E. Over all the 1st quarter was fun. |

I like how our school operates. They keep everything the same. But when you get to 7th & 8th you have to be to class earlier. I like all the teacher and the way how the principle greets everyone that's drop off in the morning. Our school tries to make us feel at home and comfortable at the same time teach us what we need to know. Our school give us opportunities to tell them what we want to do though out the year. I like that and i like the teachers and faculty here too. Unity Point rocks!!!! |

| I agree, i miss some of my friends but i have a lot in this class. The whole six teachers with one subject, thing makes me feel like i have stepped up from 8th grade. |

| 10-16 7FJH 7th grade has been very fun. All of the teachers have fun activities and experiments. I think that 7th grade is easier because we get our own laptops. Most schools don't get laptops. I am learning some really cool stuff in 7th grade. |

7th grade has been excellent, besides all the homework. But what should I suspect I'm in 7th grade, but I don't like the book reports. Its not just I don't like reading, but how we have to write a book report on it and I'm not a fast reader. I liked how in 6th grade we did AR, that was fun. Science Fair is okay. All the teachers are really nice. I'm trying to keep my grades up so I can still play basketball, I love basketball. Math, Social Studies, English, and Writing are pretty easy. So far 7th grade has been good. |
