"But I know there is no peace inside Master Wingfield. I know it is only a matter of time before he strikes. It will not be with fists, as we commoners do. I will be with his power, and it will be worse than fists." (p.18)

What does the author mean when she writes that the "power" Master Wingfield has is greater than "fists" of a commoner? What does this quote reveal about the class system in England?

It means that with his power he could hurt people with out touching them, and like when he had made Smith be locked up. The quote says that in the class system whoever is higher ranked is more powerful.

The quote means that since he's a higher ranked person than almost every one he can do things that they can't do, meanin.g that he can say things and other people will believe him. it reveals that people that are not high ranked are most likely to be treated unfairly, and they might have to do what other people say

The author means that he is royal because, the fists are powerful, but if his power is more powerful than the fist, if means that he is a gentleman, and gentlemen don't fight with fists. The commoners do fight with their fists. I think in England, people who have high classes, don't really fight physically, but with their power, they can do any thing. For example, the gentlemen can get anything, and do what ever they want to do. They also don't have to work as the commoners do.

The power Master Wingfield has is joy or even love. The class of the quote is probably his words how he says them and how he uses them. The class of the quote is high class because it's very big to say in that time period.

Master Wingfeild wont hit with his fist he do something worst then hitting with his fist. Master Wingfeild has a higher rank of power then the other people then he people on the ship. Higher class people for example Master Wingfeild is always trusted and lower class people like in the story for example some of the people on the ship are speechless and bossed around.

What they mean the power of master of Master Wingfield is greater than the fists of a commoner. Is that Master Wingfield that can do thing without having a reason or proof and Captain Smith can do nothing about it, just because he is a gentleman. The class system shows that higher ranked people can be trusted even that they should not be trusted.

The author means that Master Wingfield's didn't use his fists to hurt Captain Smith but he would use his power and he means that he was in a higher class then Captain Smith. The quote reveals that in England people with higher class were like leaders to the lower class people but that didn't mean Captain Smith was a pheasant.

That means that how much power you have matters more than your actual fighting. The quote tells you what it means to live in England and how it is if you were sailing on the Caribbean sea in 1606.

Because Master Wingfield has the power and the commoners have fists so Master Wingfield does not need to use his fists. I think this quote says whar ever rank is higher it is more powerful.

Even though Master Wingfield didn't use his fists he used his power to have Caption John Smith locked up so he didn't need to use his fists because what he says will go. Since Master Wingfield is a gentleman so he has higher power over a commoner, Caption John Smith.

He   rules them so he could arrest them also controls them because he is higher ranked then everyone.

The words of a gentleman would have more power than a commoner's  words.
A commoner might fight  to settle arguments.
A gentleman uses words.
