1) First I thought that the Muslim culture was more non-forgiving I didn't think before I read the book that they would bring people into their houses.

2) They needed water to drink, water their crops, and to wash so they would not get sick.

1) I have learned that they pray if something bad happens they were also all sticking together.

1. That some Muslims care other people no what culture they are. 2. They need water where they live because live in like a kind of desert area. They need water to survive and to water their crops to eat.

1) I thought that all Muslims were terrorists, but most are very poor and peaceful.Ever since 9/11 I have wondered why Muslims did this to us, but now I know that many Muslims were not mad at us. Some Muslims just are raised wrong, and if they are grown up then you will really have troubles getting them to change their ways. Now I know that the Al Queda group was really mad at the Americans for a really big reason. Some Muslims thought that Americans really cared for them, and some Americans did like Greg Mortenson.

2) One reason they needed water in Skardu was that people were being bombed and they needed water to wash themselves in their new home. Another was that Greg was supposed to build a school, but they needed water more. Finally, They needed to have water to survive because you can go longer without rather than water.

1. I used to think that Muslims didn't pray or have peace in their village, and then I read the book and realized  what I thought was wrong.
2. They need water so they can have clean water to drink, bathe, and give to their crops to nourish them. Also, they need it to wash other household items and clothes.

they need water to drink. they can get dehydrogenated with no water. plus easier to get.
that not all Muslims are bad because i use to think that Muslim are terrorist

1)I have learned that they stick together  and pray when something bad like  a big fight breaking out  or bombing.
2)they needed water to drink and make mud bricks for the mud houses and they could not  get water for miles or without walking for at least an hour so Greg helped alot by putting in the well.

2)so they wont die if thirst and they need water for there crops so they can eat and a clean cloth

2. They need a water pump because they need clean water to drink, to bath in, and (NOT FINISHED!)

1-i thought muslims were bad people that didn't believe in god, but then i read the chapters and i realized i was very wrong

1. I thought Muslims were the kind of people who wouldn't be very nice to you. But now I know they aren't but maybe people misunderstood them just because they are different then us Americans.

2. Because the river is far away and they need water to clean themselves and to be Hydrated. Some of them died because they didn't have water.

(1) I never knew that Pakistan and were both fighting against Kashmir because if Pakistan is so poor and that busy they should not be fighting.

(2) To get the water to Skardu and feed their children and also because it was the thing they needed most.

1) I have learned that the Muslims want to live in peace and they want to help each other.  The biggest thing is that they want their children to have an education.
2) They need this because as of right now they are having to walk more than an hour just to get water and then walk back.  They need water if they are going to survive for example drinking and cooking with. The last thing is if they plan on growing any crops they will need water close by. Other wise survival doesn't look to good.

1.that the Muslim should have education for there children because they want there children to learn.then they don't want to fight they just want to have peace.
2.they need water for there crops, and need water to drink,and because they have to walk an hour to get some water.

1. My thoughts about Muslims haven't changed because one of my friends is Muslim, but I don't think she's from Pakistan or Afganistan.
2. They need water because they need it to drink, water their crops,and to bathe.

the children noticed there is nbo water they are dying of thirst they need to get food to

1. I thought that Muslims were mean people but after reading this I realized that they are peaceful people and they help each other out just like Americans would help their family out if they were in danger.

2. They needed water pumps because the river is a long way away, and they needed fresh water to drink and bathe in. If they didn't get water pumps many people would die from illnesses.
