Research Examples:

Project:  Review of the Literature - Why is mathematics difficult to learn?  Can technology assist mathematics comprehension and retention?

Intended  Results:  Understanding of the current research-based studies regarding impediments to understanding mathematics concepts; attaining strategies to overcome the barriers; finding and putting in place best tech-integrated practice in my curriculum.

Project:  Review Best Practices for 1:1 laptop implementations.

Intended Results:  Understanding how 1:1 laptop implementations are successful in the classroom.  Define best practices others have done to assure this success.  Determine what it will look like in my classroom.  Explore its potential related to RtI.

Project:  Research characteristics of students with social-emotional needs.

Intended Results:  Understanding the characteristics of such disorders, ADD/ADHD, executive function, auditory processing, etc. and how technology can assist in increasing student academic success and classroom engagement.

Project:  Explore Formative Evaluation using STIassessment. 

Intended Results:  Utilizing formative assessment to assist in informing instruction and building interventions.
