1. I agree 'cause you can use words, not fists. What I mean by this is that you don't need violence, not anger, but happiness.

1) I agree, because if you have the knowledge from books, you would be smart enough to know not to start a war.
2) Education is like water. In the book Jahan thinks education is like water because:  It is important for everything in life.    But I think education is like water because some people see right through it, but some people don't.
3) Life is like climbing a mountain because you never now when you are going to reach the top because the mountains have those ups and downs, but somewhere in your mind you know you will reach the top somehow.

1. I agree with this statement b/c the more violence there is the angrier people get and decide to take revenge. And with books people will know that this is bad and will say no which cut down the number of terrorists.
2. Like the book said education is like water b/c it is important for everything in life, it is also has the effect on everyone in their own way.
3. It has mountains to climb and their problems are one of them. If you have a problem with friend and you  are trying to get over it you are climbing a mountain and once it is solved you just climbed the mountain.

1.I agree, because if a person who has a good education is offered to join a terrorist group, he/she would most likely say no because they probably already have plans for a job that provides you with lots of money and a good education.
2.Education is like water because if you don't have education, then you probably won't get through life very easily and will have lots of twists and turns without an education.

1.I agree because with education you can learn and not do violence. And with wars it will make things worse!You can make friendship and your life is alot better.

1. If people read books they will surely get more education and will not cause war.
2. Education is like water in only one way. You need them to survive. If you don't have water you will die. If you don't have education you will cause trouble for yourself and others.
3.Life is like a mountain because it takes many tries to climb a mountain and in life that's what happens.

1) its means to not use violence as and act of change. Peace comes with words not guns.

2) Education soothes the mind as water feels good like water so you want more of it.

3) because there are different points in your life. The high points and the low points.  The mountain goes up when lets say you get an A+. The mountain goes down when lets say your pet dies.

I agree, because if someone from a different place/culture has some terrorists come up to them, tell them things that the U.S. has done(not everything they say is true) and offers them money to support them and they didn't have an education they would need the money and not be able to spot the terrorists lies and probably would support them. But, if they had an education, they would better understand the U.S.'s ways, would spot their lies, and would probably have a job, and not need money as badly, so they most likely wouldn't support them.

2. An education is like water because it is very important. You can live without it for a while, but you won't last long. Without water, you wouldn't be able to irrigate your crops. Without an education, you wouldn't have money have had a job, so you wouldn't have enough money to grow crops, because you wouldn't have a field to plant them in.

3. It's like climbing a mountain because it's harder as you go on in life just like it's harder as you climb higher on a mountain.
