1.Greg wanted to be polite.

2.He was angry with himself for not planning the future completely. First, he had to make a bridge.

3.When they are hunting and they find an animal, they say "Allah-
u-Akbher!" just the second before the animal is dead.

1. He wants to get settled in first & regain his energy. He also wanted to be polite.

2. The village, Korphe, wants him to build a bridge.

3. The hunt is to hunt down some ibex & it doesn't really effect them in any way.

1) Greg drinks tea with Haji Ali before he begins his story because, it was the polite thing to do at the time.
2) Haji Ali asked him to build a bridge before attempting to build a school, because he thinks that they need a bridge more than a school. And in addition to that it will cost extra thousands of dollars that Greg didn't have.
3) Well, Greg was invited by Twaha and some other men to hunt Ibex. Ibex are big, strong goats that live in the mountains and have curly horns. They had to climb across colossal glaciers to even find a sign of Ibex. It actually took them 4 days to see an Ibex. It was dead and getting eaten by vultures. Then they spotted 16 ibex grazing.

1)He was being polite and telling him about the promise about the school.
2)He found out that the bridge over the Braldu River was too dangerous to bring the supplies.
3) Mortenson hunts an ibex, and says Allah-u-Akbar after they catch one.

1). He drinks tea with them before, b/c it is polite there.
2). The new obstacle he faces is that now he has to wait to build the school b/c he has to build a bridge. He has to build the bridge in order for them to get the supplies and for the children who go to the school to get across the dangerous river.
3). They went on a hunt to kill an ibex, for the culture the said "Allah u Akbhar" and then the animal died.

1. Greg at the beginning thought, he was too mean,too angry so he tried to be polite and kind.
2.In chapter 8 Greg was so angry he had to build a bridge because the old bridge was too old. To get to the school.
3.When they killed the animal right then the people said ''Allah-u-Akbhar!''

3.Greg participates in a dangerous ibex hunt .The hunters would carry a tomar when doing dangerous things, and shout "Allah-u-Akber when they have killed the animal.

3. They walk for days and find a dead ibex. Twaha gives him his tomar for keeping evil spirits away. Finally, after many days, Twaha shoots an ibex after praying. Then they begin thier journey home.

2.They needed a bridge to transport the school supplies across the gorge which would cost thousands of dollars which Greg didn't have.
3.They are hunting for animals but it doesn't effect them.

3) Greg  say "Allah hu akbar" when they hunt animal and then just a second the animal died.  They bless thier animal and they cut them.
