1) He wanted to see a picture of the school and when he died he gave the institute one million dollars. $$$$$

2) The girls of Korphe were amazed by the women of America because it wouldn't been like that here. Also  that they were very happy and exited when they got their first new clean clothe, because here we get a lot of clothes and there their first pair.

1) Jean donates one million dollars to the CAI before he died to make sure that they were good for awhile. He also makes sure he sees a picture of the Korphe school to see how they had done.

2) It amazes me how hard Shakeela worked to go on to high school because there girls aren't allowed to go to school. Aslam's Father amazes me because he was strong enough to let his son leave to go to school.

1.he donates 1 million dollars to the CCI AND HE MADE SHURE THAT HE SEEN A PICTURE  OF THE SCHOOL.
2.Yes because greg is going to build more schools

1.He proud of the company he built because he wants to see the progress before he dies from  cancer.
2.The most interesting thing in chapter 16 was when the school got built because it took so long for Greg to built it.

1.Hoerni gave the Central Asia Institute one million dollars. He wanted to see the picture of the finished school in Korphe.

2. That the boy was afraid to go to school and after a few years he was in the top of his class. That the boys can't be in the same school as girls.

1.Jean donated cash to the CAI and before he died he got to see the picture of the school.
2.In Chapter 16 Greg gets to hold his daughter for the first time. The CAI was going to build 3 more schools.

1) He has cancer and he died, but before he did he sent one million dollars to the Central Asia Institute (CAI).

2) It took three years to build the school, everyone went to a ceremony to hold Greg's baby, and everyone went to the CAI. This is interesting to me because in the U.S. people don't go to a  ceremony to see a baby and hold it, or go into the CAI just to help people we don't know, or you want to take three years to build a school in the of nowhere.  

1)Hoerni liked how Greg was building schools for people in Baltistan
and how Greg had brought him pictures  of the school and had hooked up a camera to the TV so that he could watch videos of the children singing .
2)one thing that amazed me is that Greg set up an office for the CAI  in his basement . the reason that this amazed me is that Greg didn't have enough money for a office in another building . Another thing that amazed me is that he would wake up at 3 A.M. to call the Balti people before they went in for the day . the reason that i like that is he cares that much about the balti people

[2] that the woman where actually bored and theat greg would barely sleep to help people and do buissness

1) Hoerni liked when Greg showed him pictures of the school that was built and how Greg was building schools for others. 2) When the school was finally built and how they Greg enjoyed what his hard work had accomplished. I was interested because after all the things he went through to finish the school he actually finished it.

1. Two ways Jean Hoerni is proud of his role because he tells Greg to staple the picture of the completed school up on the wall where he could see it and he donated one million dollars to the CAI.
2.  Two things i find interesting in chapter two is that when the children saw the textbooks for their school they were happy but here in America we think thats not very important. Also, I think the fact that Shakeela was the first educated women, because she wanted to do what she wanted to do and she ignored the rude comments people told her.

because when Greg showed he the pictures he smiled. and he kindly gave him more money
that a man in Pakistan had to go a couple miles away home. because i never heard about that just interest me
that hushe women had no educate besides one.That interest me because everyone  should have  education

(1) He was hoping so much that Greg had a picture of the finished school before he died because he wanted to make sure that the school was completed and the children were safe. He also showed that he was proud of himself by donating a million dollars to the Central Asia Institute.

(2) One detail that interested me was that not only did Greg build schools for Pakistan and he built a Korphe Women's Vocational Center.

ok there is two ways now the first one is jean hoerni is very proud of his part because he tells the part of greg to staple the pictures and he smiled the ather way is that noone had educate but one

1. He hangs the poster of the school on the wall and he calls his friend and brags about his success.

2. The boy's journey to go to school it interests me because someone swam that far to get an education. Also the little girl and how everyone told her that it was stupid to go to school cause she will end up like the other women it interests me because evn though people told her not to she believed in herself and kept going and became very successful. 

1. 2 ways Hoerni is proud of his role is that He told Greg to put the picture of the school on his wall and before he died he gave Greg 1 million dollars for the CAI.
2. That the little boy was afraid to go to school but in the end he was at the top of his class.And the girl that didn't care what people thought about her going to school. Their stories both interested me because they were both brave enough to do what thy did.

1. The first detail is he got on the phone and called one of his friends in Switzerland and bragged on how he built the school in Korphe. The second detail is he hung the picture on the wall right in front of his bed so he could see it without getting up.

2.What is interesting to me is that boys go look for jobs in the city after they go to school, but girls stay in their village and pass on what they've learned. I would of thought it would be the other way around.

1)He is proud because he has helped many people through all the money he has donated.  We also know that he is proud because he is dieing of cancer but he wants Greg to make sure that he has the school finished and a picture to show him before he dies.
2)The thing that intrests me the most about this chapter is that he has had kids and that he has completed his first school. He set the corporation up out of his homes basement. He worked all the time for these people. and took nothing in return.

1)He is proud of the school he has built and he wanted to see a picture of it before he died from cancer. He also wanted to give the institute one million dollars.


2) He got up at 2 or 3 o'clock to call the people  of Korphe, and Greg was going to start a new school that will be built in Khane.

1-before Jean died, he gave the CAI 1 million dollar. he also demanded a picture of the finished school, before he died.
2- it is very amazing that shakeela made it to college. it interesting because she was the first one of her people to make it to college. it's very interesting that greg has built so many schools in so little tim.e

1. Heroni is proud the school is finished childhood friend about how he helped build  school in Pakistan. He was angry about dying but when he heard children singing, his anger drained away.
2. How everyone wanted to hold with Amira. It was sweet.

1. Jean is proud because he donated one million dollars to the CAI (Central Asia Institute) before he died to make sure they had enough money for a while. Another way he shows that he is proud is that he asked Greg to send him a picture of the Korphe school to see its progress.

2. One thing that happened that was interesting to me was that Mohammed Aslam Khan's daughter went to a school in Hushe. People would tell her she had no business attending school but she persisted in her studies. She became the top student in her class. This is interesting to me because even though people told her she shouldn't be in school she kept going and became the best student. Another detail that happened that interested me was that when Mohammed Aslam Khan was a boy his father had to leave the village. So he sent Mohammed to go to school. He had to go across a river to get there even though he couldn't swim. Then a stranger helped him up and told him how brave he was. This is interesting to me because it showed how much he would do to go to school.
