1. What does Haji Ali mean when he tells Mortenson to "listen to the wind"?
2. Mortenson says, "the difference between becoming a good local citizen and a terrorist could be an education." Do you agree or disagree? How so? Does Mortenson's statement apply to citizens in the U.S. as well? How so?

1 when Haji Ali says listen to the wind he means that if you listen closely you will hear what you need to give you an idea.
2 I agree with Greg because if you don't have an education and you don't know anything then you might become someone bad like a terrorist and this applies to the people in the U.S. because instead of a terrorist the Americans might become a gangster or just a mean person.

1:When Haji Ali say"Listen to the wind" he means when he is dead and when Greg comes to his grave, Haji wants him to listen to the wind so Greg knows that Haji Ali is with him.
2: I agree with Greg because if you don't have an education or just not a good one you might become a bad person. It really depends on your home life as well. 1 out 10 if you don't have a good education or a good homelife you would most likely get a 8 or a 9.

1. When Haji Ali said listen to the wind closely you will get an idea.
2. I agree with him because if you don't have the right education you won't be able to tell what's right from wrong and you might become a gangster or worse. A terrorist.

1) Haji Ali meant that Greg had to only think about the kids.
2) If a kid is denied an are education, they are more likely to throw their lives away than they are with a proper education. So, yes I do think he is right. And it does apply to us too. To the Muslims and Pakistani, and the Afghanistans, we could be terrorists.

1.) Haji Ali meant to only think of the children.
2.) I agree because terrorists didn't learn how to cope with other people. If you get an education you learn how to get along with people. It applies to everyone, because it doesn't matter where you come from, you can still be a terrorist.

1: When Greg listened to the wind whistling through the Braldu gorge, he remembered Haji Ali's last lesson: "Listen to the wind." Greg heard the sound of the Korphe children playing in the courtyard. Then he understood what Haji Ali's last lesson meant. Think only of the children.
2: I agree. An educated individual has the knowlege to control a difficult situation. But an uneducated individual who doesn't have an education can make a lot of bad chocies and may bomb/attack another country. It's the same story for the U.S except we have a better government. Kind of.....
